PDPW Calf Care Connection workshops

“Healthy Environments for Healthy Calves” will be the theme of an educational presentation by Dr. Becky Brotzman at the upcoming Calf Care Connection workshops, organized by the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin. Her presentation will be followed each day by lunch and a local farm tour.  Dates and locations for this one-day program are:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 13 – Holiday Inn-Campus Area, Eau Claire, Wis. Farm tours of Hamlin Valley Farms at Strum and Arrowhead Farms near Chippewa Falls.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 14 – Millhome Supper Club, Kiel, Wis. Farm tours of Hanke Farms near Sheboygan Falls and Hochkammer Dairy Farm at Manitowoc.

At each farm location, participants will have the opportunity to view calf facilities and discuss care and feeding techniques with their calf managers. The program begins each day at 9:30 a.m., with buses returning to the original meeting site at 4:15 p.m.
