It’s that time of year again. Everyone is beginning to receive their statements and records and beginning to gather up their financial data for spring tax season. What better time than now to start calculating your cost of production?

The University of Kentucky and Kentucky Dairy Development Council (KDDC) have developed a tool for dairy farmers to calculate their cost of production. The Cost of Production (COP) tool is available online and in paper form so that dairy producers may determine the cost of production for their farm.

Check out the UK/KDDC COP website at: http://www.uky.edu/Ag/AnimalSciences/dairy/decisiontools/cop/cop.htm or http://www.uky.edu/Ag/AnimalSciences/dairy/decisiontools/cop/cop.pdf
