Determine the value of early season fungicide applications

Foliar fungicide applications can be an important component of an effective corn disease management strategy.

Recently, fungicide manufacturers have been promoting early fungicide application, generally around V5 to V7, as a supplement to VT application.

Because this would incur additional costs, growers have questioned whether the application can produce a profitable return by controlling diseases early and increasing yield.
