Alternative forages: Are they profitable?

Weather conditions, grain prices, and dwindling forage inventories have many re-evaluating their cropping strategies. Can alternative forages help dairy profitability?

This is the featured topic of an upcoming Penn State Extension Dairy Team "Show Me the Money" conference call.

The conference call is scheduled for Sept. 18, from noon to 1 p.m. (EST). It will be presented by Greg Roth, professor of agronomy, Penn State Department of Ecosystem Science and Management and Extension grain crops specialist.
