Drought stress magnifies compaction issues

Growers are urged to assess compaction in their fields this fall.

According to agronomy experts with DuPont Pioneer, it is important to evaluate and address issues on a field-by-field basis as compaction depth may change.

Fields with layers of compaction added to drought stress this year by restricting root development in the compaction zone.
