Proper dietary programs are essential to dairy cow health and performance during heat stress.  Understanding what dietary changes can be made prior to and during summer heat stress is important for helping high-producing cows manage the negative effects of heat stress.

Nutritional changes to reduce the severity of summer heat stress are the focus of the next webinar from the Dairy eXtension learning community. The webinar is scheduled for Mon., March 19 and will address “Nutrition Programs for the Heat Stressed Herd.”

The webinar begins at 12:00 noon Central time. The speaker is Jose Santos with the University of Florida.
