Praise: Foremen want it but won’t give it
Two groups of Spanish-speaking foremen (and other front-line supervisors) participated in management training in which they also had the opportunity to interchange opinions and feelings with their employers. Just like people, groups have personalities, and they were quite diverse. But three critical issues were identified; matters which have the potential of helping foremen become much better at the art and science of supervision.

A brief history of Mexican labor in agriculture
Have you ever wondered how we arrived at this point? How did the dairy industry and the Latino labor force become so interdependent? Did it start in the 1980s? 1950s? If you take a look at history, you’ll find that this story begins much earlier.

How can we improve communication on the dairy?
I have written several articles in which I explain differences in communication styles between dairy owners and dairy employees. Most of these articles explain these differences to dairy owners and provide tips on how to close potential communication gaps. This time, I would like to offer suggestions to dairy employees on how to communicate more efficiently with their managers.
