Add mastitis control to spring cleaning list

The Spring 2012 University of Florida Dairy Update has some timely “spring housekeeping” reminders to help you get your operation ready for summer weather.

The spring cleaning check list discusses several areas that need your attention, including suggestions to help you control mastitis, such as culling chronic mastitis cows to lower somatic cell count and refreshing the sand in the back half of your free-stalls.
