Webinar to focus on fly control and odor management

The next Penn State Extension Technology Tuesdays webinar isFlies and Smells, A Management Challenge.”

The webinar will take place on April 10, 2012, from 8:30-10:00 a.m., Eastern time.

The web seminar will emphasize the importance of fly and odor management and cow health, comfort and productivity, relationships with neighbors and the general public and worker comfort and productivity.

Dr. Dave Wolfgang will discuss animal heath and management issues related to fly pests in barns, pastures and manure systems. Dr. Robert Mikesell will discuss manure management and its relationship to odors and neighbors. Dr. Robert Graves will discuss barn and manure system design and management practices and their relationship to flies and odors.
