Video highlights feed cost control options

“Margins between milk revenues and feed costs are getting tighter and tighter,” says Normand St-Pierre, Extension Dairy Management Specialist with The Ohio State University.

In a newly released video, St-Pierre discusses several strategies that you can use to control feed cost and improve revenue. One topic he discusses is using feed additives properly.

You could be wasting money if you are using a feed additive to address a problem that no longer exists or to “patch up” a deficiency in management. “Fix the management” instead, St-Pierre advises.
