Workshop for feed management planners

The Penn State Extension Dairy Team and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are offering a workshop for pre-certified feed management planners on Tuesday, May 7 at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The workshop is designed for pre-certified planners who want to become PA NRCS-qualified plan writers or certified technical service providers for feed management planning. Participants will go through the entire plan writing process including utilizing tools for monitoring and evaluating precision feeding. All plans written from these workshops are eligible for submission to NRCS to meet the two-plan requirement to become a NRCS-qualified plan writer.

Registration is $45 per participant. Participants are required to bring a laptop computer with Excel 2007 to the training.
