Dairy producers have been steadily making progress in increasing milk quality by reducing bulk tank somatic cell counts. This can be difficult, but it can also be financially rewarding. K-State dairy specialist Mike Brouk says somatic cell counts under 100,000 have been achieved – and he wonders how low they can go.
