If you haven’t already done so, be sure to sign up now for the Dairy Cattle Reproduction Council regional meeting that’s coming to a location near you. The first session will take place on Nov. 12-13 in St. Paul, Minn., followed by a second session on Nov. 19-20 in Boise, Idaho.

Organizers say the two-day events will expand the DCRC's regional reach to producers, veterinarians, researchers and industry professionals, while presenting usable information that can be implemented on the dairy.

Each program kicks off with “big picture” topics, like the impact of infectious diseases on reproduction and large herd reproductive management. The focus soon narrows to cow-side topics, including ultrasound use, blood pregnancy tests and producer roundtables. (Concurrent Spanish sessions are offered this day during both regional meetings.)

The second day is devoted to understanding the reproductive cycle, breeding timing, and protocol compliance.
