Task force recommends tax credits

The Dairy Farm Revitalization Task Force in Massachusetts has recommended that the state establish an income tax credit that dairy producers could use in years when milk prices are less than the cost-of-production.

Supporters of the program, say the program should have little to no impact on retail milk prices and that the program would probably only be used once every five to eight years when milk prices are in their low cycle.
