April 1 is the deadline to apply for scholarships to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course (FISC).

These include scholarships targeted to the Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers, a FISC program in which students participate in seminars and other learning activities focused on the management of grazing-based dairy or livestock farms. Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers students are mentored by experienced graziers, business leaders and University of Wisconsin-Madison experts, and many of them get internships on Wisconsin dairy and livestock farms.

For those not seeking a scholarship, registrations for all Short Course programs, including WSBDF, will be accepted through Oct. 1.
