The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin is sponsoring three one-day Calf Care Connection workshops. The dates and locations are:

  • Dec. 8 - Arlington, Wis.
  • Dec. 9 - Chilton, Wis.
  • Dec. 10 - Eau Claire, Wis.

Each one-day workshop will provide participants with the latest research, techniques and hands-on training. The labs are extremely hands-on. In addition to learning new procedures, you will have a chance to practice in a supervised learning situation.

The agenda for each workshop includes four presentations, three hour-long learning labs involving live calves and an expert panel.

General session presentations will cover what’s new and working in:

  • Calf feeding programs, and topics like, “Feeding your calves, starving your checkbook or striking the right balance”.
  • Effective vaccination protocols in dry cows and wet calves.
  • Sanitation protocols and cutting health cost.

 Learning lab topics include:

  • Deliver more live results.
  • Learn advanced lifesaving procedures, where you can work on live calves.
  • Hear about what works and doesn’t work regarding pasteurizers.

Register here for the workshop in your area. Or call (800) 947-7379.
