The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin is sponsoring three one-day Calf Care Connection workshops. The dates and locations are:

Dec. 8 - Arlington, Wis.

Dec. 9 - Chilton, Wis.
-
Dec. 10 - Eau Claire, Wis.
Each one-day workshop will provide participants with the latest research, techniques and hands-on training. The labs are extremely hands-on. In addition to learning new procedures, you will have a chance to practice in a supervised learning situation.
The agenda for each workshop includes four presentations, three hour-long learning labs involving live calves and an expert panel.
General session presentations will cover what’s new and working in:

Calf feeding programs, and topics like, “Feeding your calves, starving your checkbook or striking the right balance”.

Effective vaccination protocols in dry cows and wet calves.

Sanitation protocols and cutting health cost.
Learning lab topics include:

Deliver more live results.

Learn advanced lifesaving procedures, where you can work on live calves.
-
Hear about what works and doesn’t work regarding pasteurizers.
