Milk production up 3.2 percent in April

Milk production across the U.S. was up 3.2 percent in April compared to the same month a year earlier.The increase is down slightly from the hefty increases of 4.3 percent and 4.2 percent in February and March, respectively. Dave Kurzawski, dairy analyst with FC Stone/Downes-O’Neill in Chicago, says his initial reaction to the report is “slightly bullish” because the increase wasn’t as high as analysts had predicted.
