The average price of gasoline across the U.S. is down 3 cents this week. Prices have fallen to $2.34. The 27-week average price is now $2.60.
The Midwest region saw the largest drop in prices this week. Gas fell 6 cents, bringing the price to $2.28. Gas prices in the West Coast region dropped 3 cents to $2.76, leaving the region with the highest prices across the country.
The Rocky Mountain region fared the worst this week as gas prices rose 6 cents. However, gas prices only hit $2.29, still some of the lowest prices in the country. The Gulf Coast region has the lowest prices in the U.S. this week as prices fell a penny to $2.22.
Gas prices in Ohio fell 15 cents to $2.18, the largest price decrease by state in the country. Minnesota saw a 9 cent drop in gas prices as prices hit $2.39.
