Gas prices across the U.S. are down an average of 11 cents this week. the biggest drop in price was in the Rocky Mountain region of the country, where gas prices dropped an average of 16 cents, followed by the Midwest where prices dopped 13 cents. This weeks' price drop brings the U.S. 27-week average to $3.14, 50 cents lower than the 27-week high of $3.64.
Colorado saw the largest plunge in gasonline prices, seeing gas hit $2.15 after being at $2.32 last week. The 17 cent drop brings the 27-week avarage for Colorado to $3.24. Minnesota, Ohio and Texas all saw 14 cent decreases in gas prices.
Overall, gas prices in the U.S. have been falling since the first of the month.
