OKLAHOMA CITY, OK Thu Nov 20, 2014 Oklahoma Dept. of Ag Market News
OKLAHOMA HAY MARKET REPORT
Demand light to moderate for alfalfa, light to very light for grass hay. Demand
especially light in eastern third of state. Movement was light this week and
most movement consisted of previous sales. Dairies and feedlots appear to have
immediate needs well covered. The winter storm that moved into the state this
week dropped snow from trace amounts to nearly 4 inches. More rain is forecast
for the weekend but temperatures are expected to remain moderate.
Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage at
www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged...
