China building huge dairy to supply Russia

A joint Chinese-Russian livestock complex with 100,000 cows bred is being constructed in the Chinese city Mudanjiang, situated in China's northeast between North Korea and Russia, reports the state-funded network Russia Today. The report states feed will be grown on 100,000 hectares (nearly 250,000 acres) of land in China and Russia. It is unclear just how many cows will be milked, but the network says the project is expected to cost up to 1 billion Chinese Yuan, or over $161,000,000.

Russia's ban on imports from the West continues now until August 2016.
