The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has issued Mr. and Mrs. Claus, 100 Candy Cane Lane, North Pole, a “Certificate of Animal Movement” to allow them access to all homes, encampments and premises in the state of Florida.

The permit is active between 8 p.m. tonight and 7 a.m. tomorrow Eastern time, allowing Santa and his reindeer crew access to the state through or over any U.S. border port.

“Our entire Department is committed to making sure Mr. Claus and his reindeer have a seamless visit to our state,” says FDACS Commissioner Nikki Fried.

The paperwork certifies all nine reindeer have met normal disease testing requirements, noting that Rudolph has tested positive for “red nose syndrome.” It notes this a normal condition for the lead, path finding reindeer and is not an animal health concern.
