If you’re disappointed that the 2020 World Dairy Expo has been cancelled, you’re not alone. It’s why our editorial team at Farm Journal has put together an exciting, FREE program with educational and networking opportunities for dairy industry enthusiasts. We’re calling it Dairy Week, and it’s coming to you in a virtual format from September 28 through October 3!
This FREE virtual celebration of the dairy industry will encompass all of the assets our company has to offer. Dairy will take centerstage on “AgDay” and “U.S. Farm Report” TV and “AgriTalk” radio. We’ve gathered the brightest experts in the dairy industry to help us gain insight to be successful in this wild market.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, we’ve partnered with Bovine Veterinarian to bring you a webinar about combating salmonella in calves. On Wednesday, Sept. 30, “U.S. Farm Report” host Tyne Morgan will be moderating a webinar with market analysts to discuss what the rest of 2020 and the first half of 2021 could look like when it comes to milk prices.
Some of the additional content you can expect during Dairy Week expect includes:
- Products beyond milk: cheese and butter.
- Practical tips and advice on topics such as forage quality and quantity.
- World Dairy Expo traditions and personalities.
- Tips, insights and trends from industry experts.
- New products and information from experts in the virtual trade show.
Additionally, a virtual showroom will provide you an opportunity to network with experts from 18 companies. They are each prepared to provide you with information about their latest products and their solutions to the problems you’re undoubtedly facing this year. Whether you’re looking for expertise, information or just want to see what’s new in the industry, I highly recommend a stop in the showroom.
Lastly, we’ll be engaging in several initiatives to create a sense of community. You’ll be able to learn how to make a famous Badger grilled cheese sandwich. We encourage you to share yours on social media using #DairyWeekGrilledCheese. We also encourage you to share memories and photos of past World Dairy Expos or the things happening on your farm this week with the hashtag #FarmOnDairy.
We might not be able to be together in the Coliseum this year. Until that’s possible, there’s no reason we can’t connect online. Register for this FREE event at DairyHerd.com/DairyWeek.
