Miami-Dade Police have arrested six suspects after they were busted for a dairy products theft ring and responsible for more than $1 million worth of stolen dairy items.

According to the police report, the six suspects were all employees of a milk distributor, Island Dairy, that worked with McArthur Dairy, a milk and dairy products company.

Dubbed ‘Operation Got Milk,’ the police report shared that since 2021, the suspects robbed more than $925,000 of milk from McArthur Dairy, along with $350,000 worth of milk crates. The Miami-Dade police shared that the suspects would swap the ordering system, causing extra dairy products to be loaded onto the distribution delivery trucks.

According to the police, once they were out for delivery, the drivers would sway from their preassigned routes, meet with another individual and transfer the extra dairy products to that delivery truck.

"This was an organized crime, basically, where they were working in unison to steal products from a company,” Miami-Dade Police Det. Luis Sierra stated. “Obviously the person receiving those products was selling stolen goods.”

Furthermore, the police shared that Island Dairy contacted them after conducting an internal investigation that uncovered the irregularities and identified the potential suspects.

The police report highlighted that within hours of the initial report, they captured the transfer of stolen dairy products on video. After detectives determined that they were selling stolen goods, all six suspects were placed into custody with the help of the Florida Highway Patrol.

The suspects all face various grand theft and organized scheme to defraud charges. They were identified as Yohanny Padron, 38; Jose Fallayera, 56; Eduardo Alvarez, 55; Osleivy Rodriguez, 36; Ihosvany Lopez, 50; and Maikel Rodriguez, 46.
