IDEXX announces that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved the IDEXX M. bovis Ab Test for the detection of bovine tuberculosis in TB-affected herds.

The IDEXX M. bovis Ab Test offers a fast, 3-hour protocol that delivers objective, quantitative
results compatible with typical laboratory data management systems. Its easy-to-use ELISA format requires no specialized training or handling requirements and can be automated for high-volume use. In addition to earning USDA approval, the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) has added the IDEXX M. bovis Ab Test to its registry of tests in June 2012.

"Now, state veterinarians can enlist the services of National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) across the United States to choose a robust, reproducible tool for their disease management programs," says Olivier te Boekhorst, Vice President General Manager, IDEXX
Livestock and Poultry Diagnostics and IDEXX Dairy.
