New Zealand 2013 Dairy ‘Payout’ Will Exceed $25/cwt
Fonterra, New Zealand’s dominant dairy cooperative, announced this week that its milk "payout" for the 2013 season will exceed $25/cwt (adjusted for U.S./New Zealand currency rates).
That’s $1.50/cwt increase over its projected 2013 payout announced last month. And that’s despite the turmoil New Zealand dairy products were put under after a milk contamination problem in August. It was later discovered that the bacteria found in New Zealand milk problems was misidentified.
