Hoof Care Product Company Planned in S. Idaho
A California company that makes hoof care products plans to build a $2 million plant in Idaho's dairy region in the south-central part of the state.
The Times-News reports in a story on Thursday that Specialty Sales is preparing to break ground on the 30,000-square-foot facility on 5 acres in Jerome's new Northside Development Industrial Park.
President Greg Petersen says the company works with about 400 dairies in the West and there's demand in Idaho.
He says Jerome is also a good location because it's close to a highway, has rail spur access and there's a skilled labor force.
Petersen says the company will hire up to 10 employees locally for jobs paying from $70,000 to $85,000 annually.
