2015 Precision Dairy Conference and Expo Coming Soon
The 2nd US Precision Dairy Conference and Expo will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minn., June 24-25, 2015. An excellent program that includes diverse precision dairy topics awaits you. Plenary sessions include an update on experiences and developments from Europe by Henk Hogeveen (Wageningen and Utrecht University, Netherlands), making sense of cow sensors by Jeffrey Bewley (University of Kentucky), and factors that influence success in robotic milking and automated calf feeder systems by Dr. Marcia Endres (University of Minnesota).
Topics sponsored by industry partners will cover information management, precision feeding, robotic milking, automated body condition scoring, various individual cow sensors, automated ventilation and cooling, data-driven decisions to maximize profits, teat spray robots for rotary parlors, and more.
In addition, ten dairy producers from across the nation, including California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and Wisconsin, as well as Ontario, Canada, will share their experiences with precision technologies. This conference is your chance to virtually visit these farms and learn from users of cow sensors, inline milk sensors, robotic milking systems, automated calf feeders, automated TMR feeding systems, and ‘smart barns’. Check program details at precisiondairyfarming.com/2015/program.
The trade show has much to offer and it will be open June 24-25 to allow ample opportunity to visit with industry experts and learn more about various products and technologies available today and coming in the near future. Thanks to all sponsors and exhibitors, especially Platinum sponsors Afimilk, AgStar, AMS-Galaxy, DeLaval, Lely, and media sponsor Dairy Herd Management.
The event ends at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, so you could also attend day two of the 2015 Hay and Forage Expo held at Hernke’s Dairy in Cannon Falls (40 minutes north of Rochester).
