Blexy Named Supreme Champion of 2017 World Dairy Expo

Rosiers Blexy Goldwyn-ET was awarded the honor of Supreme Champion at the 2017 World Dairy Expo. This winning Holstein cow is owned by Budjon, Vail, Abbot, Van Excel and Woodmansee of Lomira, Wis. Blexy, was the first-place winner in the Six-Year-Old Cow Class and Senior and Grand Champion Female in the International Holstein Show. As Supreme Champion, Blexy received the Gregory Blaska Memorial Trophy, a $2,000 cash award sponsored by BouMatic, a royal blanket sponsored by Agpro, Inc. and a director’s chair sponsored by International Protein Sires.

Reserve Supreme Champion was earned by last year’s Supreme Champion, Musqie Iatola Martha-ET, exhibited by Milksource Genetics of Kaukauna, Wis. She was named first place Six-Year-Old & Older Cow, along with Senior and Grand Champion Female during the International Jersey Show at World Dairy Expo. As the 2017 Reserve Supreme Champion, Martha received a $1,500 cash award sponsored by Trans Ova Genetics, a royal blanket sponsored by E-ZEE Milking Equipment, LLC and a director’s chair sponsored by Joe and Patti Schluter.

For over five decades, the global dairy industry has been meeting in Madison, Wis. for World Dairy Expo. Crowds of nearly 75,000 people from more than 100 countries attended the annual event in 2016.
