According to the USDA, the domestic demand for dairy has reached a 56-year high. At the same time, farm labor wages are also trending upwards. AgDay’s Betsy Jibben explains more in this week’s Dairy Report.
The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) reports that the Dairy Margin Coverage program will pay out just under $303 million in 2019 to 22,631 dairy farmers. That’s an average payment of $13,385 per enrolled farm.
