Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted 18 requests for export assistance from Bongards Creamery, Dairy Farmers of America, Darigold and Foremost Farms for customers in Asia, Central America, North Africa and the Middle East.
CWT has accepted seven requests for export assistance for 10.018 million pounds (4,544 metric tons) of butter and Cheddar cheese to customers in Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
“The members of our associations ask you to support a margin insurance program that will help dairy producers without including a government controlled supply management program,” states letter to Congress.
