March U.S. Milk Production Falls 0.4%

Milk production in March fell by 0.4% across the entire country and the 23 major dairy states saw a drop of just 0.1%. The latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows that cow numbers are down 86,000 head since last year, as well.

February Cheese Exports Second Best Ever

Exports of cheese in February were the second highest per month amount achieved since March 2014. South Korea has been responsible for much of the gains made in dairy exports made recently with cheese exports rising 71% in the past four years, according to the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC).
