Milk Price Hikes Come to a Halt

Q2 Class III Milk futures lost about 12 cents settling to $18.52.

Dairy prices were more quiet today than in recent days. Block cheese went up a 1.5 cents to $1.81500 while Barrel Cheese shaved off ¾ of a penny down to $1.79250. Dry Whey lost two cents, slipping to $0.44000. Q2 Class III Milk futures lost about 12 cents settling to $18.52. In Class IV markets, butter gave up over 2 cents down to $2.32750 while nonfat dry milk was flat at $1.16000. Q2 Class IV Milk futures was constant at $18.87.

Grain Markets were all down and red today. May Corn tumbled 4 cents to $6.53750. May Soybeans also came down over 4 cents to $15.17500. May Soybean Meal decreased nearly 7 dollars, settling at $457.40/ton. May Wheat gave away two pennies, finishing at $6.91500.

Livestock Markets also reacted negatively on the day. April Live Cattle shaved off of 50 cents down to $167.600 while April Feeder Cattle lost a whole dollar down to $197.950. April Lean Hogs dropped dramatically, losing $2.30, settling to $72.225. Crude Oil is back over $80 now that OPEC+ decided to cut oil production by over 1 million barrels per day. The US Dollar dropped over 50 points down to $101.250, one of the lowest levels this year.
