Milk Prices Continue Their Run Higher

A strong week of Class III milk continued into Friday’s trade.

Milk keeps running higher. A strong week of Class III milk continued into Friday’s trade. March was unchanged as we wind down the month at $18.10, April up 17 to $19.93, but traded a high over $20 earlier in the day, with May up 17 cents to $19.12/cwt. Class IV milk was asleep in comparison. March up 1 to $18.42 with the balance of the year unchanged with April at 19.97, May at 17.98, and June at 18.35.

The spot tarde had everything except Butter moving in the green. Cheddar blocks up 4 ½ cents to $2.10/lb and Barrels up a quarter of a cent to $1.96 1/4/lb. Grade A Non Fat dry milk was unchanged at $1.15/lb and Dry whey gained ¾ of a cent to $0.44 1/2/lb.

Grain and Feed markets also flew higher with Green across the board. Corn up 11 ¼ cents to 6.43/bu, SB up 8 ¾ to $14.28 ¼ with Soybean meal gaining $6.80 to $445.10/ton.
