Cheese continues to struggle to find a bid. Cheddar Blocks fell 1 ½ cents to $1.39/lb, Barrels fell 2 ¼ cents tp $1.52 3/4/lb. Butter however, found some life, jumping 3 ¼ cents higher to $2.38 1/2/lb. Dry Powders were mixed with Grade A Non Fat Dry milk gained a quarter of a cent to $1.16 ¼ and Dry Whey fell ¾ cents to $0.27 1/4/lb.
Class IV milk was unchanged to higher on the nice move in Butter. June helpd at $18.11/cwt, July gained 9 cents to $17.85/cwt and August was unchanged at $17.96/cwt. The balance of 2023 was Down1-15 cents trading between $18.30 and $18.90/cwt.
Class III milk fell 4 cents in June to $15.05, July fell 24 cents to $15.56/cwt, August fell 28 to $16.31/cwt. The balance of the year down 4-25 cents and settling between $17.29 and $18.31/cwt.
Grain markets slid lower after widespread midwest showers this week. Corn fell 4 ¾ cents in July to $6.07 3/4, Soybeans fell 11 cents to $13.88 1/4, with soybeanmeal falling $7.80 to $389.70/ton.
