Flavored Eggnog Helping Consumers Celebrate Easter

While eggnog is typically seen as a dairy treat to enjoy at Christmas, the milk beverage is making its way into stores and customers’ refrigerators during spring, too.

Easter is nearly here and consumers are getting more than just jelly beans, egg shaped chocolates, and yellow colored chick marshmallow Peeps to celebrate the holiday. While eggnog is typically seen as a dairy treat to enjoy at Christmas, the milk beverage is making its way into stores and customers’ refrigerators during spring, too.

Easter eggnog has at least been around since the 1990’s when Dean Foods started processing its own drink, according to Slate. Regional dairy brands like Producers Dairy, Turkey Hill Dairy, Prairie Farms and Hiland Dairy are just a few that have or are still marketing Easter eggnog. Farms with their own milk bottling businesses like Rosa Brothers Milk Company in California are also selling Easter-themed dairy beverages.

Here are some social media posts related to Easter eggnog being sold this spring in the lead up to Easter:
