The new Bel Brands USA cheese plant formally opens this week in Brookings, S.D.
Political leaders and Bel Brands representatives from the company’s U.S. and Paris headquarters are among those who plan to attend the opening event Friday.
The $140 million facility will employ about 250 people and produce 1.5 million Mini Babybels every day.
Bel Brands also makes The Laughing Cow cheese wedges.
