New Year’s Eve traditions include dropping a Conch shell in Key West, Fla., a possum in Brasstown, N.C., and of course the ball in New York City’s Times Square. But only in Plymouth, Wis., can you watch a big wheel of Sartori Cheese drop from a 100 ft. ladder truck.

In its ninth year, the cheese-centric town of Plymouth, Wis., will host the Big Cheese Drop at 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Complete with free s’mores and pudgie pies, and cheese to the first 250 families, the Drop will again hoist a replica wedge news to the Sartori creamery building on December 31.
