A Cop Who Chases Cows

When Mississippi State Highway Patrolman Lou Zemek gets done with his day catching speeders, he heads home, changes boots and gets his milking parlor ready for evening chores.

Zemek is fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a dairy producer. He currently milks about 100 Holsteins near Bruce, Miss., with the help of his dad. AgDay TV features Zemek in its “In the country” segment on today’s show, www.agweb.com/MediaLauncher2.aspx.

The Pennsylvania native, who is now 35, hopes to hang up his radar gun in another 10 years and dairy full-time. Zemek already has plans in place to add 100 to 150 cows in the near future. He’s been milking for the past year and a half.
