Cover-All Demonstrates Strength of DuraWeave Engineered Fabric in Lifting Test

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada––Cover-All Building Systems, Inc., performed a strength demonstration using its exclusive DuraWeave fabric to lift 6,200 lb. with a fabric panel of only 12’x24'. Cover-All decided to test the hypothesis: Could DuraWeave fabric lift the weight of something as heavy as a truck?

The demonstration used a lifting platform constructed of square tubular steel used as a framework for the DuraWeave fabric lifting panel. A total of six fork lifts were required to perform the lift of a full-sized crew cab pickup truck that had been parked on the lifting platform. The truck was lifted off the ground by the fork lifts, which were connected to the steel framework with certified 10,000-lb. chains. The load was suspended in the air for two full minutes as photographs and video were taken to document the demonstration results.

The demonstration proved to be a success as the 12’x24' DuraWeave panel easily held the 6,200-lb. weight of the pickup truck.
