Dairy Today discussion board now open

Udder Views is a new discussion board on AgWeb.com for dairy producers, and others, to talk about issues impacting the dairy industry as well as share management and marketing information that may be of benefit to other readers. Jim Dickrell, editor of Dairy Today, kicked off the discussion with this topic:

Yesterday, Monsanto announced it would sell its BST business and focus on its core business, seeds and genetically-modified traits. Go to Click here for the story. This morning, the New York Times quoted Jim Werkhoven, a Monroe, Wash. dairy producer: “I certainly understand from a business perspective why they may be doing this,” he said. “At the end of the day, the customer is going to be the one that sets the rules, and at the end of the day, it’s going to be the customer that pays the price.” What are your thoughts?

You can find “Udder View” in the AgWeb discussion boards.
