December All-Milk Price at $21.10/cwt

USDA also announced that the December parity price for milk was $52/cwt, down a dime from November.

The United States Department of Agriculture released the preliminary all-milk price this afternoon at $21.10/cwt, down 90¢/cwt from November but up $1.40/cwt from December 2011.

The December all-milk price in Wisconsin was reported at $21.40/cwt, down $1.80 from November. The California all-milk price in December was $18.80 and $19.50 in Idaho.

USDA also announced that the December parity price for milk was $52/cwt, down a dime from November. If USDA was required to enforce the 75% parity rule for dairy support prices, that means the support price could jump to $39/cwt. However, it does appear Congress has reached a preliminary agreement on the farm bill, though no word on when it might be enacted.
