Increases were reported for South Korea (71,900 MT), China (68,200 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (50,400 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Peru (48,300 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Mexico (47,600 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations). Reductions were reported for unknown destinations (260,800 MT) and Portugal (25,000 MT). For 2017-18, net sales of 671,800 MT were reported primarily for Mexico (283,300 MT), unknown destinations (168,800 MT), and Japan (102,000 MT).
Weekly Export Details Exports of 698,500 MT were down 28% from the previous week and 30% from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (304,800 MT), South Korea (71,500 MT), China (67,000 MT), Colombia (46,900 MT), and Peru (38,200 MT).
Comments and Performance Indicators Old-crop sales met expectations, and new-crop sales topped expectations. Export commitments for 2016-17 are running 13% ahead of year-ago compared to 14% ahead the week prior. USDA projects exports in 2016-17 at 2.225 billion bu., up 17.0% from the previous marketing year.

Increases were for Thailand (110,100 MT, including 15,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Indonesia (90,000 MT), Mexico (89,900 MT), Nigeria (76,000 MT), and Japan (72,600 MT, including 35,500 MT switched from unknown destinations). Reductions were reported for Peru (6,300 MT), Guatemala (3,200 MT), and Colombia (2,800 MT).
Weekly Export Details Exports of 545,900 MT were down 4% from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (163,600 MT), the Philippines (130,200 MT), Mexico (79,700 MT), Taiwan (48,900 MT), and Italy (33,200 MT).
Comments and Performance Indicators Sales topped expectations. Export commitments for 2017-18 are steady with year-ago versus 2% behind year-ago the week prior. USDA projects exports in 2017-18 at 975 million bu., down 7.6% from the previous marketing year.

Comments and Performance Indicators Old-crop and new-crop sales were stronger than expected. Export commitments for 2016-17 are running 16% ahead of year-ago, compared to 15% ahead the previous week. USDA projects exports in 2016-17 at 2.150 billion bu., up 10.7% from year-ago.

Weekly Export Details Exports of 17,300 MT were unchanged from the previous week, but down 3% from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily Mexico (7,400 MT), Japan (3,300 MT), Hong Kong (1,600 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), and South Korea (1,400 MT).
