Free nutrient management plans for Western producers

The Environmental Resources Coalition has recently received a Federal grant to help livestock producers west of the Mississippi River prepare Nutrient Management Plans and to provide producers with Environmental Assessments.

The Comprehensive Livestock Environmental Assessment & Nutrient Management Plan (CLEANmp) will provide free, confidential assistance. Producers do not have to possess or apply for a NPDES permit in order to receive technical assistance, and the results of the assessments will not be used to impose NPDES requirements.
