Seven California Dairies Hit By Armed Thieves

ABC California affiliate KFSN is reporting that at least seven Fresno, Calif., dairy farms have been robbed, some at gun point.

The thieves often target the homes of dairymen, brazenly assaulting the farmers as they leave their homes to check on their dairies late at night or early in the morning. Jim Bos was assaulted by several gunmen, who hit him on the head with their weapons and demanded money. He says the assault, which happened several weeks ago, still haunts him and makes it difficult to sleep.

Police say dairies are relatively easy targets, because they are usually isolated and often left unlocked. Bos says neighbors are worried, arming themselves, putting in security systems and buying guard dogs.
