World Forage Analysis Superbowl Winners Announced

The 2023 World Forage Analysis Superbowl, held in conjunction with World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wis. in October, once again produced a host of stunning forage quality results.

Rodney Archer of Alamosa, Colo. was a back-to-back winner of Grand Champion Forage Producer, reclaiming the title he also won in 2022. Archer’s award was bestowed for his commercial hay entry.

 

Grand Champion First-Time Entrant went to Martin Farms of Strykersville, NY, for their standard corn silage entry.

The Quality Counts Corn Silage Award was presented to Zirbel Dairy of DePere, Wis. for their BMR corn silage entry. The Quality Counts Hay/Haylage Award was won by Jenson Family Farms of Elk Mound, Wis.

First- and second-place entries in each category were:

The World Forage Analysis Superbowl is organized in partnership between Dairyland Laboratories Inc., Hay & Forage Grower, US Dairy Forage Research Center, University of Wisconsin and World Dairy Expo.  

Sponsorship of this year’s event was led by Platinum Sponsor, Brevant seeds.
