Class III Prices Fall Lower

Class III milk was softer with January down 22 to $18.85/cwt, February falling 8 to $18.16, and March down 10 cents to $18.22.

The New year slide continued as Cheese struggles to find support. Cheddar Blocks fell 2 ½ cents to $1.97 ¼ with Barrels down 3 cents Wednesday to $1.71 ½. Putting the average cheese price at $1.84/lb. Butter held unchanged at $2.38/lb.

Dry Powders were mixed with Dry whey unchanged at $0.41 1/2/lb with Non Fat Dry Milk falling 1 ¼ cent to $1.31/lb.

Class III milk was softer with January down 22 to $18.85/cwt, February falling 8 to $18.16, and March down 10 cents to $18.22. The balance of 2023 unchanged to 23 cents lower.

Class IV milk was mostly unchanged to slightly lower. January fell 7 cents to $19.41, February fell 12 to $18.86 and March held unchanged at $19.09/cwt. Class IV milk held unchanged for April – September.;

Grain and Feed Markets continued a softer tone coming out of the weekend with rains in Argentina. Corn fell 16 ¾ cents to $6.53 3/4/bu with soybeans falling 8 3/6 to $14.83 ½ with Soybean meal falling $2.40 to $462.7/ton.
