$20 Million Expansion for Biery Cheese

An Ohio-based cheese processor is investing nearly $20 million in a plant its purchased in central Wisconsin.

An Ohio-based cheese processor is investing nearly $20 million in a plant its purchased in central Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. says Biery Cheese Co. will upgrade a facility in the Portage County community of Plover. Biery Cheese currently has a plant in Wood County.

News-Herald Media says Biery Cheese will move to the former Basic American Foods plant in Plover late this year.

Biery Cheese has been operating in Wisconsin since it purchased the Kickapoo Valley Cheese Corp. in November 2013.
