Dairy industry researchers, allied industry professionals, veterinarians and producers will gather in the late fall for the 41st Discover ConferenceSM on Food Animal Agriculture, hosted by the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA).
The event will focus on “Health Management of Calves: From Intrauterine Life to Successful Weaning.” It will take place October 25-28, 2021, at Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Itasca, Ill. Virtual access also will be offered, along with a non-participation option that simply gives registrants access to conference recordings after it takes place.
Five main topics related to the challenges and opportunities in raising preweaned calves will be addressed:
- Fetal development and early life
- Calf health
- Preweaning nutrition
- Transition to the ruminant calf; and
- Animal welfare and ethics
Discounted registration rates are available to participants who register by September 24. Up to 18 Continuing Education Units will be available through the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS).
