Condensed milk typically takes a backseat when compared to other dairy products, but its immense utilization in the food and confectionary industry may soon propel this commonly overlooked product into the spotlight.

According to Research and Markets, the world’s largest market research store, the global condensed milk market is predicted to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.01% from a market value of $8.430 billion in 2020 to achieve a market value of $15.422 billion by the end of 2027.

“Condensed milk is utilized as one of the essential milk ingredients to prepare varied food items in the food and confectionery industry industries,” the report says. “It is used to prepare high-quality caramel fillings, chocolate bars, toffees, ice creams, and a variety of desserts and sweets. Hence, market growth looks quite promising in the forecast period.”

The beverage industry is also playing a large role in the product’s growth. Condensed milk is a popular ingredient in both tea and coffee, as the product helps give the beverage a creamier appearance and a sweeter taste.

With the demand for more processed and versatile dairy products on the rise, condensed milk is poised to see significant growth within the next half decade.
